This year, the Juice family supported the Running & Reading Program here in Guelph, ON. It addresses the need for enhanced literacy and physical activity among economically challenged children. For more information, click here.
Of course, “doing good” can mean many things to many people. If you’re looking for inspiration that won’t break your bank (I know how expensive the holidays can be!), try one of these four ideas:
Write a heartfelt letter (or email) to someone you haven’t seen in a while. You’d be amazed at how a few kind words can make somebody’s day (or even year!).
Sponsor a child in someone else’s name. Rather than give a traditional gift, put that same amount of money toward changing the life of a child in need. Organizations like World Vision allow you to make one-time and monthly financial donations toward things like education, clothing, food and clean water.
I really do believe that it is better to give than to receive. With that in mind, I wish you a safe holiday season…and a prayer for peace on earth!
